Were you aware that Will is the greatest?

willbryantplz:

Poster series for site specific concerts in New York and Toronto. To highlight vitaminwater’s current campaign “Make Boring Brilliant” these concerts took place in mundane places; such as an auto body shop, a bank, a laundromat, and a library. These venues were transformed into exclusive musical experiences for lucky fans.

See all the posters here!

Scrumptious: Willamette Week and stand-up comedy.

iankarmel:

For a long time I thought the Willamette Week simply had a stand-up comedy problem. You couldn’t really fault them for having a stand-up comedy problem. They’re a fantastic newspaper, but even for fantastic newspapers the resources are stretched frustratingly thin. There just isn’t enough staff…

This is the truth. There’s only a little bit of good writing about comedy in Portland, and absolutely none of it comes from the Willamette Week.

Episode 1 - Laserflicks

Folks, Gregor and I helped out as consulting producers on this audio show. We had a lot of fun, but keep in mind, WE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT WE’RE DOING. Take a listen, if you please.

Near the end of Weschler’s “Uncanny Valley: Adventures in Narrative”, you’ll find a piece entitled Double Vision about a set of twin artists, Ryan and Trevor Oakes, who have been studying visual perception since childhood. It’s truly amazing and you ought to read it.
Or at least look into them.

Affirmation Hotline

This weekend at Open Engagement, Lisa sat (stood?) as the public face for our new project AFFIRMATION HOTLINE. We built an automated phone system to mollify your nervous heart.

We’re leaving the hotline up until we run out of funding (likely through the end of the year), and we’re going to tweak it a bit here and there to make it better.

Call or text 503-360-WELL if you need to be affirmed.
